Gallo's Follies: Season One "Giovannino & Filomena"

Gallo's Follies is a delightful comedic romp for the entire family to enjoy. Reaching back to an age when the family could all watch and enjoy the same television programs together, Gallo's Follies delivers nine episodes of hilarious fun for all. The Follies are masterminded by the legendary producer Bob Gallo. Here Gallo not only stars as Giovannino, but he wrote, directed, scored and did all of the special effects as well as the post production. The nine episodes are witty, fast paced, and make no delays to the laughs. My personal favorite is the episode "The Intruder". In "The Intruder" Gallo shows off his knack for old fashion physical humor while he, as Giovannino, fumbles while cooking pasta, ruins dinner in the oven, and burns his hand on the stove top. Something else that makes Gallo's Follies a special experience is the obviously tight relationship between Gallo and his wife Marisa, who plays Filomena and all of the female roles. Their on-screen chemistry can be directly related back to the feeling of Ralph and Alice Kramden or the love fueled bickering between Lucy and Desi. Knowing that they are having a great time translates directly into laughs and entertainment value. Gallo's Follies: Season One is sure to bring laughter and joy to people of all ages. The messages here are universal and the humor will get through to everyone.

Gallo's Follies is a must see for any fan of the old school comedy of I Love Lucy, The Marx Brothers, and The Honeymooners.
